Altitude.nu - Find the elevation of any place
With an easy point-and-click interface you can find the elevation of any place on the earth. You can find the height above sea level of cities, mountains, roads, seabed or any other place.
Altitude.nu is a good replacement for elevation maps and topographic maps. The saving function makes it easy to share your elevation maps with others in forum posts or blog post.
The accuracy is mostly very good but can be limited in areas where the elevation change very rapidly, for exampel at mountains peaks.

Altitude.nu uses the Google maps api for the map and for determind the elevation.
Help
Markers
For placing a marker click on the desired place on the map.
Click and hold on a marker for the possibility to move it around.
Options
The clear button is used for removing all markers on the map.
The meter and feet buttons are used to change unit.
The show/hide position button shows and hides latitude and longitude information for the markers.
Map and satellite buttons are used to switch background.

Vinson Massif is the highest mountain of Antartica with a summit at 4,892 m (16,050 ft).
Mount Elbrus
Europes highest mountain is Mount Elbrus in Russia with the highest peak at 5,642 m (18,510 ft) above sea level.
Denali
The Alaska mountain Denali (or Mount McKinley) is the highest mountain in North America with a summit at 6,198 m (20,335 ft) above sea level.
Carstensz Pyramid
Carstensz Pyramid (or Puncat Jaya) in Indonesia is teh highest mountain in Oceania with a peak at 4,884 m (16,024 ft) above sea level.
